Wrapping Up the Years, 2014-2018

Your first four years of life set a strong foundation of community, confidence and creativity within you. We were so fortunate to lead the life we lived and to be able to share our Cardiff home with so many during this time.

Your Father was a freakin' warrior. The snow photo above was taken the day after Christmas on Palomar Mountain and the day before he began 48 upper head and neck proton radiation sessions. He smiled the whole way through and still managed to get out and about to enjoy life with us.

Here we are at the start of our lovership, at the now defunct E Street Cafe in Encinitas, California in fall 2013. Our relationship wasn't perfect but we respected each other as friends, first and foremost. When you have this, you have a solid base to build from. This is what we wish for you.

You were born perfect (We all are.)

There is nothing you could ever do to change this.
You are inherently worthy simply by being.
There is nothing you or anyone else can do to change this.
May you always remember....

You are a Natural, at most things

You have been deeply in your body since the day you were born. I imagine you are a lot like both your Dad and I. Most things, come naturally and easily for you. However, there can be a downside to this - such as frustration and fearing failure when life proves a little more difficult. Stay with your discomfort; learn how to accept life's great wins AND losses; and always feel gratitude for ALL OF IT.

You are here to evolve your Soul and to embody Love. The rest is superfluous.

You got this, boy!!!

Making Paper Planes

Oh how you adore modes of transportation. You have been a master at making paper airplanes since you were this young. (Thank goodness for your Daddy!)

Argh, Matey!

 4th birthday bounty.
(I just love your little voice.)

Doing Chores at 4 Years Old

This was your responsibility for a little bit. Having our home in Cardiff meant that you could have regular chores like this.

Your 4th Beeday

Daddy had been diagnosed with an aggressive, metastatic head cancer so we went all out for this birthday of yours. We went to the airshow at Miramar AFB then hosted a party at Moonlight Beach. The following night, we enjoyed our first Padres baseball game at Petco Park with your best friend, Benji, and with you big friend, Elijah.

Daddy & I at Sherrianne's Sister Speak concert at the Belly Up in Solana Beach

You love Sherrianne's music because I played the CD she gave your Daddy on his 52nd birthday, over and over again, blasting from the loud speakers in our forest green Mini Cooper as I drove us about our life here in San Diego County and around Encinitas and Cardiff.

She will always be an Auntie to you. If you need her, look her up.

This was the last concert your Daddy and I ever attended. This was right before we slid into his cancer journey.
